Okay so I have had some time to think it over. Here's the thing. After I see a movie that I really like I tend to say crazy things. For Example. I thought Star Wars Episode 1 was THE BEST Star Wars movie ever after I first saw it. Yes. Truly Crazy. Not that Episode 1 was bad, I am one of those star wars fans who will defend it, I liked that movie..though Jar Jar was annoying and the kid that played Anakin was a horrible actor..anyways..back to what I was getting at. Truth is I am not sure what i was getting at, I guess what I wanted to say was that yesterday I may have wrote some things that were stupid..mostly the whole "FAD" thing..the thing that bothers me is how I could start to think about the way the country is run just by watching a movie, there's something wrong with that. looking at how the country is run and asking questions is a good thing and is a thing that I will do and keep up to date with ( thanks Matthew Good), I just think it's stupid to want to ask those kinds of questions after watching a movie. That's like those people who watched "101 Dalmations" and then afterwards went on to buy one and then soon discover that those dogs were more of a handful then they suspected. It's the motivations for wanting to asking those important questions and truth is with the way the world is run today I shouldn't need that kind of motivation to ask the hard questions anyways, I shouldn't need a movie to make me feel interested. Those bastards are ruining my country and driving to world to mayhem and death for crying out loud! that should be enough for me to ask the hard questions.
Here are some hard questions:
What is Bush's real intent in the "war" on Iraq?
Was he elected fairly or was there some cheating involved?
How many POW's has America killed and tortured and made go missing?
How much freedom do we have as citizen?
Is freedom as we know it now a myth?
Is TV really there to dumb us down and make us apathetic?
Am I being spied on by the U.S right now?
Do they have a file on me and my family and my friends and everyone I know?
Who Watches the watchmen? ( Nod to Alan Moore. Alan. Not Allan. Me been misspelling it)
No I won't let movies influence My thoughts. Not today. At least as far at the world goes. Watching movies for inspiration is fine as far as art is concerned.
Anyways..I still think "V FOR VENDETTA" was a great movie.
V!!
I saw "V For Vendetta" tonight. I thought it was a very cool movie. It made me wonder how the US Government feels about a movie like this..and if the makers of that movie want me to ask that question. I start to wonder if I start to ask questions about the US if I am just following a FAD that is the current thing. As I typed that I was feeling sort of dumb :P…
Cause even if it is a fad which at the moment I am not sure it is, following a fad like that isn't a bad thing. A FAD?! What the fuck am I talking about! Since when as political activism been a fad? Since when have people being upset about their government been a new thing? Jeese, even for suggesting that it might be a fad makes me feel foolish. When i was watching "V for Vendetta" I was wondering what the message was that the makers of that film were trying to get across. I am sure that any message that we may precieve will probably NOT be the message that Allan Moore was trying to get across. Though I have never read "V For Vendetta" So I can't say for sure, I do know however that Allan Moore wanted nothing to do with this movie..I can't say why and any attempt to try to explain WHY Allan Moore wanted nothing to do with this movie would be an assumption which in this case would be as good as a lie. So I am not goin to even bother. There are always so many hidden messages in movies, how many ad's did I unconsiously precieve? I don't know..I never noticed any. Which is a good thing for the movie makers, that's what they and their contributers want. They want us to leave with the urge to go eat MacDonalds and not even question that that urge may have come from the film they just saw.
I come out of this movie feeling sort of confused. Where do I go from here? Do I start to look at the way our Government is run? Canada in my case? Of course the answer to that should be YES, it's the motivation for that exploration that concerns me. Is a Hollywood film really going to make me start asking the questions that I should have been asking a long time ago? or am I going to forget about it tommorow morning when I wake up and continue my life? When do i stop being an observer and start making some comments about the way things are going down? When Do I stop being so damn passive?
This post has been a post that has sort of gone around the place..I have said things that I am not sure how i feel about. I have said things that tommorow I might look at and feel embarassed for saying. For now all i say is..OH well. I am hungry. Gotta go eat now.
Tommorow I may try to write something that is more thought out..no promises though.
(funny I write like I have people who are actually reading this) Will this blog always be invisible to everyone? I hope not, I am actually just now starting to TRY TO GET my blog noticed by people and when I eventually get a webhost I will be able to do that better.
Anyways..Like I said.. HUNGRY. Need Food. Until the next time I feel like writing to myself ![]()

Here is an article I just read. I found it an interesting read. I found it from here: http://blog.experiencecurve.com/archives/next-gen-video-games-emulate-bag-of-marbles
I was going to post the whole thing but then I decided it would be better to only post a paragraph that way people can go to the website I found it from…after all I don’t want to be one of those people who steals things from other sites and claims responsibilty for creating it.

Next Gen Video Games Emulate Bag of Marbles

When I lived in NY in the mid 90’s a friend of mine worked for an interactive company who’s primary audience was kids, and because of this he was always interested in kids tv, games and things marketed to kids. That was his excuse anyway, and the reason he played an N64 as opposed to the playstation. One of the marketing innovations that he talked about that stuck in my head was Pokemon, he was absolutely enamored with what they had done and loved to talk about why Pokemon worked and why it was genius. Now apart from the obvious fact that Pokemon had a thinly disguised 30 minute infomercial that was designed to drive kids to “catch ‘em all”, my friend highlighted two aspects that were critical to Pokemons success: Collecting and Competition. It’s funny how those things showed up when I was at school, conkers anyone? Marbles?…..

So I am thinking of getting a cheap webhosting thing…most likly with yahoo cause it’s only about 8 bucks a month and I get a lot of things. At this point I am totally just a person who uses templates and does not know how to do much else but I want to learn and possibly even get into web design which is why I am thinking about doing this cause then I can have all of the good stuff. I can edit my blog however I want and it would be a good way for me to learn. What I am wondering is this, is there anyone who could suggest a web host to go to for someone who is just beginning to get away from just being a novice “webpage creator”? Is anyone going to even comment on this blog? does anyone even read this blog? Granted I don’t really write stuff on here for viewers..it’s mostly just for fun and all but comments would be nice. Again, if you are reading this can you comment? What should I do to make the jump from novice webpage creator to WEbpage designer expert! ;P ???
Today was a LONG day. LONG and cold. I took 7 buses and 2 LRT’s.
Bus 1: Took the a5 from my house to St.Albert Center
Bus 2: Took 203 from St.Albert Center to the University.
I went to the University because I had to go to a place called THE BIG PIXEL INC to pick up something they printed for me. I dropped off the digital file Tuesday and they were supposed to have had it done by wednesday so I could pick it up today. Turns out they forgot! and I had to wait an hour for them to print it. I have a friend that lives near by so I Just hung out there, That was lucky. So after hanging around there for an hour I went to get my print. I left there at about 12:25…I was supposed to meet my Intermedia class at the art gallery for 12:30. I was going to be late.. I got the print and I wanted to get it back to Grant MacEwan as fast as I could so that I could unroll it and let it air out..you’re supposed to let a print gas off for about 24 hours..I didn’t want to wait about 4 or 5 hours to unroll it and I wanted to get it unrollled and laying flat as soon as possible. So to Grant macEwan i go!
LRT1: from University to downtown.
Bus 3: I took the 1 from Downtown to Jasper Place..had to wait outside for the bus to come for about 10 minutes..it was cool today.
I dropped off my print, unrolled it and then hung it up.
Bus 4: I got on the 1 again to go BACK downtown so I could meet my class.
They had finished at the art gallery and were at a coffee place so as I was walking to the coffee place I saw them in the coffee place through the window and then went in..they all had a good laugh seeing as how i was 2 hours late!!
afterwards I went to the Edmonton art gallery alone to look at the new shows..I wish I had gotten there at 12:30..it would have been a lot more fun to go look around the art with my friends rather then going and looking around alone… Anyways the stuff they had at the art gallery was cool..very cool infact..they really involved the viewer. I will probably write a post about that later though..right now I am doing MY DAY IN REVIEW!
LRT 2: From the gallery BACK to the university.
Bus 5: 203 from university to Village Tree bus station
Bus 6: From Village tree to St.Albert Center
Bus 7: A4 to my place… and now..I am home!!
Yeah…Super long day..
now I am gonna relax for a bit and then get started on some homework that’s due tommorow ![]()

Yeah my plan to be pratically done all of my intermedia projects by..now..yeah..didn’t happen…maybe it’s because I realized I have a whole extra week to work on them..maybe not..but probably.
I was planning on starting to make my movie today but it requires me shooting at night and falling on my bed and waking up the next morning on the same bed..and well I got a new bed today so I figured I should wait..since i didn’t want to fall on one bed and wake up on another in the movie..that would look strange and people would notice that. Hmmm..
Anyways..I will probably start shooting it in a day or two.
As for the phototext thing..well…I took some photo’s and realized that the digital camera’s at the LRC at school just wouldn’t be good enough cause they didn’t shoot in a high enough resolution..so I am thinking I will just take pictures with my normal SLR camera, get the film developed and then scan it into my computer at a high resolution that way I will be able to print them out at a good size.
As for my Digital Print that I have to get printed..well it’s been printed and now I just have to pick it. Gonna do that tommorow. It’s costing me $48 bucks..
At least that’s done.
1 done. 2 to go.
On another note..I am really REALLY digging the new look of my blog! I likies a lot!
